Hi! I am Karly McNaney and I am Cozy Home Learner’s (Lead) Teacher. In 2017, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Towson University. I am also certified to teach Early Childhood Education. From 2017-2020, I taught Special Education in grades Pre-K-5th grade in Harford County until I gave birth to my twins in March of 2020. Since then I have stayed home as a stay at home mom and added two more babies to our family in 2021 and 2023. I am currently a certified teacher in the state of Maryland. Starting my own early learners program has been one of my dreams since becoming a stay at home mom and I am so excited that it is becoming a reality!
We believe that children learn the best through play and engaging activities. We provide a safe, cozy, and engaging learning environment for your child to thrive. We also believe that children learn best in smaller groups. Since we are an in-home program, we will never have more than 8 students in a class. This allows Mrs. Karly to give each child the attention and instruction they deserve. In addition, a smaller group also allows for the children to gain meaningful, close relationships with his/her peers.
For the 2024-2025 school year, Cozy Home Care will be using Deanna Jump’s Pre-Kindergarten Curriculum for all subjects. This curriculum uses a multi-sensory approach to teach Pre-Kindergarten reading, phonics, math, science, and social studies skills.
You will also receive optional at-home activities to do with your child each week to supplement his/her learning.
